Last week was a tough one…the first full week back to work after Christmas is never easy. By Wednesday I had realised that there is a very fine line between giving into the January blues and becoming well and truly Glum McNum…or choosing to be positive and look forward to the year ahead. I’ve made a firm decision to become the latter. No use in moping. I might be dreading the snow (I always fall over) and I can’t even can’t bring myself to look at my bank balance (I haven’t yet got my head around Goal Number Three…yet!) and don’t even get me started (because I haven’t) on my exciting (non-existent- at the moment) fitness regime. Hey Ho…
So we kick started January with a jam packed weekend of fun with our friends who had travelled down from Worcester. We crammed in so much and had a brilliant weekend mooching around London, cracking up at some live comedy, eating loads, taking the quickest and most pointless journey on the Clipper and searching the City for a secret Ice Sculpture Festival. Oh and perhaps a little too much time was spent discussing the minds of Psychopaths. Did you know you can actually take a test to see where you are the Psychotic spectrum? Fancinating stuff… aparently I’m only 33% on the board but the Hubster came out with 58%…I would say I was worried, but in fact I’ve become fond of his ‘anti-social behaviour’ and his ‘lack of empathy and remorse’…love does strange things to you. If you are dying to know where you sit of the Psychopath Spectrum…you can take the test here…it’s gripping stuff.
All in all, the weekend made for a perfect Highlight of the Week…
Our home was given a full spring clean for our guests arrival!
I cooked up a feast for breakfast…!
Borough Market has THE BEST Gluten Free cake stall on the planet…!
The choices of cake are amazing…my favourite is the Red Velvet Cup Cakes!
Loved this bread…shame it wasn’t gluten free…sad times.
Tower Bridge…and to the left the HMS Belfast
A very quick trip on the Clipper…!
Lost in the City…searching for some Ice Ice Baby…
We found it at last…it’s not a Horse, or a Dolphin…it’s a Seal!
The sun setting over the O2…I love that place!
Dinner at the Porterhouse…one of our favourite London pubs!
I’m like a magpie when it comes to GF signs… will have to check out this restaurant when we are next in town!
Ready for a laugh…and a drink!
Ready for some live comedy… although I’m not very good at getting jokes apparently!
Highlight of the evening…meeting the star of the show Kerry Godliman, she’s my favourite comedian!
She was brilliant!
